Should I give birthday gift at baby shower?

I am attending a surprise baby shower to be held at house of someone I am not close to. I just overheard, that there is actually a birthday party that day, and the mom-to-be is coming because of the birthday.
Am I supposed to give a birthday gift also, in addition to baby shower gift?
