I'm nervous that my baby shower is going to be a bust. Can you offer some advice?
I’m pretty clueless because I have never been to a baby shower before, so I’m basically just throwing a big casual party.
It’s this Sunday and it’s going to be a local beachside park. It’s a come one, come all event with lots of couples and a few kids. I have 26 adults and 5 kids that have RSVP’d and a few more that might show up.
We are playing three games, all participation optional. 1) String around the belly 2) Bottle beer chugging contest 3) Bib decorating (white bibs with fabric pens).
The three prizes are 1) Starbucks gift certificate 2) Restaurant Certificate 3) BevMo gift certificate (Each one comes in a pretty gift bag)
For food we are doing a sandwich platter, hamburgers & hotdogs, fruit platter, chips & dips. My mom got a cake too.
For drinks I got a flat each of water, diet coke, coke & sprite. A full bottle of rum, vodka and mixers. A friend is bringing two coolers full of ice.
My best friend did all the decorations (tablecloths, ballons, etc.). She made a diaper cake and party favors for each guest.
What else? Ideas please? I’m super nervous that people are going to think it’s a bust.
