Do you keep an extra bag of baby essentials in your car?

I received a gorgeous Ju Ju Be BFF diaper bag as a gift but I think it might be a little too big for everyday, so I wanted to use one of my favorite purses for outings to the park, mall, family baseball games, etc. It is large for a purse but smaller than a full blown diaper bag so I am limited to packing the bare essentials.
So, I was thinking of keeping a bin or large bag that always stays in the car just in case I need something like change of clothes, extra diapers etc. Even if I use the diaper bag for the day, this would still be there. What should be in there and how many of what? Thanks!
