Baby Shower gifts? for father?

My best buddy that Ive known since junior high – 9 years now – is having a baby. He invited me to his baby shower, I dont know what to get him and his wife. My gf was thinking about getting them a diaper bag and stuff it with items, I wanna get something un-expected, and humorous. Maybe something they will use for a long time, I dont know… no diaper cakes please. Thanks in advance.
