Am I wrong to be upset about this? (MIL question)?
Because maybe I am just hormonal…
My MIL called about 5 minutes ago and said she is on her way to get stuff for my shower. She talked to my husband so I was really confused listening to him talk on the phone. Apparently she wants to come and take baby clothes I got as gifts to use as decorating. My SIL is the one throwing me the shower and they have already taken a bunch of my stuff, including my baby bedding and Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals I have.
She didn’t even ASK if she could have the baby clothes, she just said she is coming to get them. Many of them are packed away in gift bags with the tags still on them. My husband doesn’t understand why I started crying but I just feel like I keep getting walked on. I know they are throwing me this shower and I am grateful but all the decorations are mine, they might as well have had it at my house.
My mom had a clothes line of baby stuff at the shower she threw me but she bought them all for me as gifts, so it was a surprise.
